Lemon balm (melissa officinalis) is a member of the mint family and the entire plant is edible, although the tender leaves are most commonly used. This herb has many medicinal uses, such as when its dried and crushed lemon balm leaves can be steeped in water to make a delicious tea that said to reduce stress, anxiety and help promote restful sleep. Lemon balm is used in cooking, teas and oils. Given its citrusy flavor fresh lemon balm is commonly used in desserts like cookies and bread. Our lemon balm is harvested according to orders.
