Equally beautiful and delicious it’s my very favorite vegetable– with mild garlic flavor and a smooth texture in a beautiful package. Great raw in pesto, sauteed, grilled, pickled. Also used strictly for beauty in bouquets, and as a conversation piece, some dry them to keep them everlasting.
Only available for a short window every year, so Word to the wise is to stock up, get as much as your refrigerator will hold, because though they’re only available for a few weeks, they will hold in your fridge for months.
